The international company Abu Dhabi Ports announced its readiness to accept the largest floating crane in the world, the Ship-to-Shore. This modern equipment will significantly increase the throughput capability of the container terminal at the Khalifa Port.
The crane has an equivalent height of 22 stories, and is capable of handling containers on ships and at the terminal, significantly reducing the servicing time of vessels. This will enable the port to become more competitive and effective in the conditions of a developing global trade environment.
The Vice President of Abu Dhabi Ports noted that the arrival of this unique floating crane is an important step in realizing the company's strategy for the modernization of port infrastructure and ensuring the highest service standards for customers.
